How do you change the transformation?
On one day there are 10 cities and the other day 5 more cities gets added? then how do you change the transformation? What do you do?

If there is change in the data, there is no need to go for changing of the transformation. Instead you can insert/update the incremental data.
Please elaborate the question if not answered. -
How would you do mapping with flat file and Oracle as source ?

changing the rows from source to target
hi, hi can anybody answer my query... that is i had a source table containing for eg;D1,D2,D3,D4,D5 one by one that means in a each column contains single source i.e., D1 in 1st col,D2 in 2nd col so on now i want in my target like D1-D2 in one col, D1-D2_D3 in other col,D2_D3-D4 in other col and D3-D4-D5 in other col plz send as soon as possible.......... thanx in advance

Use expression transformation to get the desired output

One can pass the input through the expression, where the variable/output ports can be configured to pass the combined value by using the CONCATENATION function of informatica.

Agg t/f when using unsorted data, it do not perform agg calculation until it receives all the source rows from the pipeline, on the other hand when using sorted data for Agg t/f agg calculation starts...

There are two ways to lookup the target table to verify a row exists or not :
1. Use connect dynamic cache lookup and then check the values of NewLookuprow Output port to decide whether the incoming record already exists in the table / cache or not.
2. Use Unconnected lookup and call it from an expression trasformation and check the Lookup condition port value (Null/ Not Null) to decide whether the incoming record already exists in the table or not.doppalpaudi

Lookup Transformation is used to cheek weather the data is present in target or not.This transformation is of 2 types 1. Connected lookup transformation2. Unconnected lookup transformation.By using above both we can cheek the target for data .
