In design mix, we should conduct all the tests of materials like specific gravity,bulk density, silt content,etc.,and then have to prepare cubes of size 150 x 150 x 150 mm. compressive strength will be calculated for 7 days & 28 days. from this we can know the strength.

It is not possible without air pressure, if structure is enough strong and foundation is strong this will settle internally.

To improve the bearing capacity of soil, one of the following methods can be used.
1. Vibro Floatation Technique
2. Repalce the existing soil with road base materials and compact in layers to attain the required bearing capacity of soil.
3. Replace the existing soil with cement mix soil and compact in layers with water to attain the required bearing capacity.
