There are 5 distinct pairs of white socks and 5 pairs of black socks in a cupboard. In the dark, how many sock22s do I have to pull out to ensure that I have at least 1 correct pair of white socks?

The worst possible case arises when The first 10 pull results in 10 black socks and the next 5 pull results in 5 white socks which do not have their exact pair.so after pulling the 16th sock, definitely there would be atleast 1 correct pair of white socks.hence the ans is 16 socks.

u have to pull 3 socks so that u get 1 correct pair...... first attempt - 1(black or white) 2nd-1(black or white)3rd -pair (u get any pair)
