We provide inverted T-beam in places like portico. the condition is when their is compression in upper zone & tension in bottom zone then we provide inverted T-beam.

M means grade of concrete refers to the strength of concrete block of size 150x150x150 mm after curing of 28days. which is called as M5 M=mega pascal = N/mm2  or M5=5 N/mm2

Moment area method is the quicker than other methods I know.But it is easier for simple loadings.
