Furnace

As we know steel making is done in a furnace at very high temperatures, but how is that temperature maintained in a furnace on continuous basis ??

It is maintained by flow rate of natural gas or any fuel that is used for furnace... and this high temp is measured by thermocouple and from thermocouple we change the rate..

We can control the fuel rate to the furnace.for this we can use air-ratio control system where your process instrumentation control comes in to play. refer( air ratio control system)
