Legacy systems to Web based/Desktop applications is one thing which almost all of the banks do to upgrade their systems and IT infrastructure.
There are certain things to keep in mind -
1. What are the end objectives to be achieved by moving to a new renovated system?
2. How much compatible is the legacy with something new in mind. does technology matchup or feasible from IT standpoint.
3. What are the must haves and good to have features in the new system.
4. What fields/report etc. marks the exit criteria for the project.
