Cell: A cell is a grouping of nodes into a single administrative domain. Based on the Websphere packages the servers available in each node will vary.

Node: A node is nothing but logical grouping of server process that are managed by websphere and that share common configuration and opertional control.

Profile: A profile contains set of files that enable the runtime environment for websphere server process.
