Star Schema

One fact table is surrounded by only one dimension table. Is it star schema or not? Give any real time example?

Yes, it is a star schema with only one dimension table to it. A real time example could be

"Since there is only one dimension, it has to be a small organization logically.

A guide who guides tourist in some place say, Agara, might be interested to know like which season he finds maximum number of tourist to guide. So dimension table would be time and fact table will contain number of tourist each day he managed to guide.

Star schema doesn't mean that it has to be surrounded with dimension tables it depends on whether the dimension table have any more relation table to it if it has then it becomes a snow flake schema otherwise its considered as star schema
