What are the methods used by DBA to take backup of table on a database?

To backup a table the only method is Export and Import.Exporting a table in one schema and importing into another schema.

Ex:Exp scott/tiger file=scott.dmp log=scott.log tables=scott.emp
     imp system/manager file=scott.dmp log=scott.log fromuser=scott touser=abc
