The function of Wave trap is to trap the communication signals of higher frequency sent from remote substation and diverting them to teleprotection panel in the control room substation.

The function of lightning arrester is to provide grounding to high voltage surge to earth from thunders and lightning.

The function of surge absorber is to absorb and eliminate high voltage transients and provides protection to electronic circuits from all damages caused by surges.
