A computer shop consists 3 brand's laptop. Laptop of brand A is sold 3/16, B is sold 1/16 and C is sold 3/4 then what fraction is sold by the shop in all.
laptops sold by brand A=3/16
laptops sold by brand B=1/16
laptops sold by brand C=3/4
LAPTOPS SOLD BY THE SHOP=3/16+1/16+3/4
                                              =(3+1+12)/16
                                               =16/16
                                                 =1

LT1:3/16
LT2:1/16
LT3:3/4 OR 12/16(ratio)

The laptops are of different brands
so the Denominator cannot be the LCM.
Therefore fraction=(Total sold/total available)
=(3+1+12)/(16+16+16)
=1/3
