What is an audit and what process does an auditor goes through when he audits ?

If I had to answer this question I would say.


Audit is the evaluation of the procss followed by an organisation and if in persons of a person it would be the process the indiviual follows as per the ITIL proces defined and SOW.

an auditor is that induvidual who is aware of all the ITIL process and ensures the company abides to it.
