rip 2,is a classfull routing protocol.

RIPv1 is class-full routing protocol.
Ripv2 is classless routing protocol.

RIPv1 is a class-full protocol ,BUT RIPv2 is a classless protocol.
RIPv1 does not support the sub-netting, BUT RIPv2 support the sub-netting.
RIPv1 does the broadcasting in the n/w, BUT RIPv2 does the multicast in the n/w & for multicast in n/w it use the address (224.0.0.9) .
RIPv1 does not support the load balance, BUT RIPv2 support the load balance.

Rip will support 16 hops, Rip2 will support vlsm (variable length subnet mask) Rip1 will not support.

In case of RIP 1 it is by default classful and in case of RIP 2 it is also by default classful but it can be changed to the classless IP also.
