The various data containers available in Report Studio are
Page, List, Crosstab, Chart, Repeater, Map.

To link a particular query to any of the above containers, you need to select the container using ancestor button. This can be located just above the Properties window to the left hand side of the screen.

E.g: To link a query to a List report, click on ancester.
It will show the object which is currently selected. You can see all the parents to this object.
You can see the 'List' there. Select it. And now in the properties, you can see a property 'Query'.
Set this property with whatever query you want to change with.
