What is the purpose of Actions sections?

You can look at actions like functions, only much larger and robust.

I guess, Mercury tries to present the concept of business process testing through its use of multiple actions for a QTP script. The QTP script can refer to a Test Scenario/Component with the different actions referring to the test scripts within that scenario. These test scripts then can be related or isolated and the test scenario can then be executed/tested end to end.

This is a guess.
Would definitely like to know from other users as well.

I find a good way to use the Actions section is for breaking down a script.  My tests will cover my entire system and when we update one area its easy to open just that Action to fix.

Also I find it use so I do not have to repeat or copy sections of my script over and over.

The only part I hate is if I want to find and replace something I have to do it in each action.  Wish it did this as standard, I mean whats the point of Replace All if its only that bit.
