The interpreter can attempt to optimize dialog interpretation by prefetching files that might be needed. The interpreter prefetches resources used by a document by starting to fetch them as soon as a document is loaded, rather than waiting until execution of the VoiceXML tags that reference those resources. Prefetching can improve an application’s performance by allowing it to fetch resources during “free time”
while the user is speaking or listening to a dialog.
