A + b + c +d = d + e + f + g = g + h + i =17.if a = 4 what are the values of d and g. Each letter takes the value ofonly one of the digit from 1 to 9.

A = 4 ,b = 2, c =6, d = 5, e = 3, f = 8, g = 1, h = 7, i = 9

start with last g+h+i=17
simplest combi is 9,7,1 for g,h,i
decide g(common var.)
now this needs some hit n trial
d+e+f+g=17 ,for g=9 ,no three among
remaining(2,3,5,6,8)yield 8 (to make 17)
for g=7;(d/e/f)=(2/3/5) but
b+c+d=13 impossible with rem.(6,8)
so g=1,(d/e/f)=(3/5/8)
again only d=5 will balance both eqn.s
