Yes one can open full cleint reports in thin cleint , but it does not work the other way.

Inorder to open the full client report in thin client first export the report to the repositry, log on to thin client (WEBI) and when you set the filter to ALL TYPES you be be able to see the full client report. Click to open

The main difference full-client (BusinessObjects) and the thin-client (WebIntelligence).

Straight forward answer is NO!!!!!
If you needs to view the reports any how would have use report conversion tool to convert it into .wid and  vice versa but again it has limitations like the functionality applied on report should be available in both the tools if not the formatting goes not as easy as looks throgh

Yes, we can we need to convert the deski (full client) to webi (thin client) using report conversion tool, but not vice-versa (webi to deski)
