Why we use javascript in asp.net over the vbscript and other's

We use JavaScript because it is supported in all browser like netscape,mozilla, IE etc. Whereas, VB Script is microsoft product and is supported only in Internet explorer, not others like NetScape .

Because Javascript is client side scripting and JScript is server side scripting. So when we require basic validations like entiering name, emailid and other, using javascript is a good option.
