Hello Hari
well u can shift to s/w if u r really interested.
if u r good enough at programming,if u have good command in any two languages like C,C++,java,dbms etc would be suffiencient to enter into S/W as freshrer.
But be prepared to answer the ? y do u want to change u r stream i.e
mech to S/w
