Even though both of them are user of ON ,OFF status , toggle button is used

for individual items status ,where as radio buttons are used for select an item from a group.

  e.g. While registering for yahoo mail,(or any other mail) , at last stage you

have choice of selecting your favorite sports , against each sport you will find a toggle button . you can select or deselect each item individually.

  While logging into hotmail you will have three options 1. remember login

2. remember login and password 3. ask each time. These are radio buttons,

you can choose only one of this option , ie from this GROUP of three options

you can select/deselect one item only.if select one option the other will be deselected automatically
