There are some points to be followed to estimate automation project.

1.List the right test cases to be automated, whcih will be used for long term purpose and maintaniable and also those test cases are useful to execute on latest build of applications. and then we go for estimation for these type of test cases.

2.To prepare estimation for automation project, we need to follow "proof of concept" using  this concept we have to calculate testing effort

3.If we already have test framework for automation, it will be easy for estimation so that so many parameter are there to create test estimation.
