How to test a HTML page which contains objects by using WinRunner.(i need objects only not HTML code)

During the WinRunner Launching,Click the check box "ON" for Web Test in addins manager.

A HTML page contains all objects and static text data inrows,clumns,tables and grids which are not visible to users phisically.

Then record the operations and create the check points in Winrunner and execute the test.

Hi,

I have added the webtest addins during startup,but still I'm unable to tets html page.

WR unable to recognise the objects in HTML page.

win_mouse_click() is generated in the script

Please clear my doubt.

Hi Latha,

   Do one thing. First open Winrunner select webtest option in add in manager and open ur html page otherwise it willnot be recognised by winrunner.

The WinRunner WebTest Add-in behaves as a browser extension in Internet Explorer.

Therefore, you cannot use the WebTest Add-in on Internet Explorer 6.x without enabling the

Enable third-party browser extensions option. To set the option, choose Tools > Internet

Options > Advanced and select the Enable third-party browser extensions option in

Internet Explorer 6.x. You must select this option before working with the WebTest Add-in.

 

However if your page contents dyamically are changing ,QTP is better than winrunner
