diffierence between tempfile and datafile are:1)tempfile does not want recovery2)tempfile can't be taken offline3)data of the tempfile lost when the oracle server shutdown

1)Database can be opened without tempfiles in the temporary tablespace.

2) Tempfiles can't be renamed.

3)Tempfiles doesn't need recovery.

4)Segments in temporary tablespace are dropped when no longer required.
