A program manager acts as a middle-ware between the client and the team/project. He communicates the client about the milestones, timelines of delivery, release of software versions. Besides he keeps a track of team member's assignment of tasks.

Program Manager is an individual who directs the operation of several projects running under him.

He direct all the Projects to meet the Clients expectation while considering the Deadlines, Financial aspects by proper planning & communication.

He is sole responsible for all the delay in the SDLC activities, conflicts, the SLA failure due to miscommunication or improper planning, staffing activities.

He not only communicates the client about the milestones, timelines of delivery, release of software versions but also plans/tracks?to achieve them by his subordinates.

Program Manager is responsible for following key activities :

Managing the entire program

Responsible to work with engagement manager on all engagements

Responsible for developing solution, SOW and estimation

Managing the onsite / offshore ratio

Working with offshore for all resource ramp ups, deliverables.

Managing the issues / escalations at middle level customer base

Responsible for submission of invoices, and follow up on POs.

Manage the relationship with other vendors and need to have good multi-vendor capability

Client Interface: Manages the entire middle level customer base.
