Create a dummy variable of the type number , default value 0 , in the SQ for Each of  the table and the flat file. Now join the two(table and flat file), with join condition on the dummy variable.

First, u must have proper indexes and the table must be analyzed to gather stats to use the cbo.  u can get free doc from oracle technet.use the hints after and it is powerful so be careful with the hints.

This is because we cannot use a Non Reusable Sequence Generator Transformation in a mapplet. Hence we must use a Re usable Sequence Generator. The fact that we reuse mapplets has no bearing over why we should use a reusable SG.

Since mapplet is to reusability so if we include  a sequence generator inside a mapplet.the mapplet which we r going to reuse it for next time the sequence generator properties would be changed.so that we can not recommend it inside a mapplet which gives inproper result set.

You can use LEFT OUTER JOIN or RIGHT OUTER JOINS in source qualifier trans as SQL override. But make sure that you are not combining two or more outer joins using the same table as the inner table of more than one outer join.More information reach me @ sriram . kumar @ oneindia . in
