How can we configure a static picklist so that in front end it show different value but while storing in back end it store with different value? Please mention the pick mapping for the answer?

For this you need to do the pick map...Try like this.... go to svfield select the svf pick map and give the properties like this and tryField - single value fieldPicklist field  - Name or type or description or idName - for Lic valueDescription - to store the description

When you define the picklist in view  "Administration - Data -> List of values", select the field "Translate" for picklist and for all the values of the picklist. After this change you must clear picklist cache and possible also restart Siebel service.
