    Currently, the age of a father is three times that of his son. 2.5 years from now, age of the father becomes 2.5 times that of the son. The age of son currently is? A. 22 years B. 18 years C. 15 years D. 20 years

    Let, at present sons age = x
    so, fathers age = 3x

    and after 2.5 years sons age will be = (x+2.5) yrs
    so,fathers age will be = (3x+2.5) yrs

    so, according to the problem,

    3x+2.5=2.5(x+2.5)
    or, x=3.75/0.5
    or, x=7.5
    so, now fathers age will be 22.5 yrs
