What is the effect of pressure in the Distillation Operation? It is also said that when the vapor pressure of the liquid component equals the atmospheric pressure, boiling occurs; can anyone give me an example for this type of Distillation?Thank you

Increasing pressure makes separation harder, because it decreases relative volatility

If we increase the pressure, the no. of stages in a distillation column becomes less as the liquid boils earlier (boiling occurs when the atmospheric pressure becomes equal to the vapour pressure of the liquid.)
