RJ45 - RJ Stands for registered jack and 4 represents 4 pairs of wire and 5 represents five twist per inch to decrease capacitance effect. Because this two wires act as a parallel plate and the plastic surface act as a dielectric medium. To reduce this effect twisting of wires is employed.

Pin 4 & 5 are not used for data communication in RJ45 modular connector.
