Hi,I have an exp of 5 years in IT as a developer in java mostly i do production support and i never got a chance to do coding.My responsibility is to debug java code and provide solutions to development team.Rather i have 2 years of system,uat and regression web application testing in my current project along with java L2 application support.But i do not have any tools exp .I wanted to move out of this curent company but also i wanted to change my career from support/development to Testing.As i feel Testing is a correct path for me .And i am ready to take courses outside on tetsing tools .But i want your help to suggest me on my decission .Would it be fine if i start taking course outside on testing and look for a tetsing job?Kindly help me on this if my decission is correct ?
Please note:I have been thinking on this since last 2 years.But whenevr i ask for any one suggestions they keep on telling "testing is low profile job and you wont find much oppurtunity"
