Dashboard is a type of Report service document which shows the data in a single view created using reports..
1. Create a document
2. Add existing reports as datasets
3. Depending on the requirement use specific visualizations available in the insert menu
4. Add the specific attributes and metrics into the visualization from the datasets
5. Display the visualization using express or flash modes
6. To edit the visualization go to editable or design modes

The main component of a dashboard is a data set. These data sets are nothing but the reports we create in microstrategy. Once we create these reports we can use it as a data set in the dash board. we can use N number of data sets in a dashboard
