if i run session or workflow that start an DTM process.

the main purpose of Load Manager or Balance Load Manager is to find out which node is ideal among the nodes then assign the session task to that respective node.

Here node is called as server.

In the power center domain contain collection of nodes(servers) .Here  the Balance load manager is find which browser is currently not working ( ideal) then it choose that one and assign session task to that node.

then these node start the DTM process.

Data Transformation Manager responsibilities.
1. its validate our session.
2.its retrieve source level data into informatica level.
3.its verify the connection privileges (source,target connections)
4.its create the session log on informatica server(unix box).
