What is main use of Security Code when we register ourself in any website or start downloading something.

The main purpose of the Security code entered in Registeration or downlaoding files in website is to track the users Ip address. When ever the user entered the Security Code, his IP addresses and other details are monitored by the Web Application database. This should track that the user actions did and how many files he/she downloaded etc..
