What is DTM process?

After the loadmanger performs validations for session,it creates the DTM process.DTM is to create and manage the threads that carry out the session tasks.I creates the master thread.Master thread creates and manges all the other threads.

It is the main processing unit in Informatica for executing the session with corresponding
mappings. It has 3 sub services as
1) Reader Thread : It uses source table and source connections to extract data from source data bases.
2) Shared Memory :
It is staging area in Informatica is to apply transformation techniques.

Writer Thread : It is used to load converted data from shared memory into target warehouse systems using the target table and target connections
