Select a set control field that overrides the set control field of the record definition specified in the prompt table. If you don't specify a name in this field, the default is the set control field of the record definition specified in the prompt table.And this set control field is enabled for prompt table edit.

Benefits of set control field: If we specify one field as a set control field then we will retrieve data based on this when we are using prompt table. Based on this field only we can have valid prompt list at the time of prompt button clicking.
