Though it is the right answer but the view definition does take up space in the disk .THough for few views it is less but for hundreds of stored views it does consume space

[a}views are at the concuptal level so that is the main reason that they dont consume any memory.. as well as no updation is possible on it untill u r not authorised to do that [/B]

views consumes a little bit space but it is too less to consider...... and all views are not updatable.....views which shows rows of multiple tables can not be updated

BECAUSE VIEWS ARE THE VIRTUAL TABLES WHICH FORMED ON THE EXISTING TABLES OF DATABASE, SO IF WE DO ANY TYPE OF CHANGE IN STORED DATA THAN THIS CHANGE IS MADE UP ON ORIGNAL TABLE NOT IN VIEW,ON THE DISK NAME OF VIEW IS STORED ONLY SO IT COSUME SO LITTLE SPACE.
