The Oracle Accounting Flexfield is the base structure you will use to design your general ledger accounts. Oracle allows you to create flexible multi-segmented account strings. When you setup Oracle Financials you will need to define your Account structure to fit your organization's needs. A simple account structure may look like the following (aka, account code combination):Company-Cost Center-Natural Account-Product01-10-6100-4500002-20-7500-25000The GLCCID or GL Code Combination ID is the system level ID assigned to your accounting code combination. The GLCCID is a unique system generated primary key that identifies each account code combination created in the application at the table level. Without getting too technical, each GL code combination is stored in the GL_CODE_COMBINATIONS table with the GL CCID as the primary key for each record. The system uses the GLCID to identify account code combinations. You can find more detailed information regarding the Accounting Flexfield and how to design it in the General Ledger User's Guide.Hope this helps!
