Advice needed for Technical recruiter career change to Oracle Applications

Hi Sir,

This is Subbarao.I am a graduate in electronics and communications engineering. My graduation was completed in the year 2005.Currently i am doing job as technical recruiter.I am good in .net technology and Oracle 9i. Now i want to switch my career in to Oracle Applications. For this is it necessary to start learning from oracle 10 g onwards or directly shall go to Oracle 11i

there is a lot of difference between 10G & 11i

for going into applications.........start doing oracle 10g

...it also depends on the job you are looking for. Basically, if you want to work for a large company(financial for example) there is no way in the world they would risk the latest versions of any product until it has gone through a few updates. So if you want to get 'straight in' I suggest a  version backwards. It may not be at the forefront of technology, but is where most of the 'live' applications actually run.
