If i want to excute a program only in background not in forground is there any option for this?

The sm37 transaction can be used for running a program in the background. Also in the session method while processing the session you can specify the processing type as backround or foreground.

In case of BDC create the session by excuting program then schedule the session in backround using SM37. In case of report, you have create a job then that must be assigned backround using SM37.

SM36, SE38, SA38 to run the program in background.

By using SE38, we can run the program in back ground. it wil generate a spool number.

In Session method, in SM35 when you process the batch, you need to select the radio button Background, so it will run in background. In call transaction you need to mention the Mode value as N (no screen), so that it will run in background.
