Hi All,

For the puzzle on circle race (qn 1), I think the answer is 13. Here is my soln..

let the no. of children be x.

then 1/3 (x-1) + 3/4 (x-1) = x on solving we get x = 13.

Since we cannot count the child who is giving the details in qn I have taken x-1 as no. of children behind him..... and x-1 as no of children in front of him which has to ben equal since it is a circle. Please let me know the flaw in this logic.

i think the answer is 13

1/3*(x-1)+3/4*(x-1)=x

x/3-1/3+3x/4-3/4=x

13x/12-13/12=x

x/12=13/12

which gives x=13

reply me if u have got 12 through some other steps

the answer is 13

bcoz here x is total and 1/3 of x-1 is acc to the statement

1/3(x-1)+3/4(x-1)=x

solving this the answer will be 13
