   simple formula for convertine KMPH into meters/sec, is to multiply it by 5/18

hence, 36 kmph  = 36 * 5/18 = 10 meters/sec

since distance = speed * time, we get 10 * 3 min = 10 * 180 sec = 1800 meters (answer)
