Let the person gets a salary x per month.

=> x/2 --Household expenses

=> x/4 -- Rent

=> x/5 -- Travel expenses

=> y= Rest amount deposited in bank = 50/-

There fore, x=x/2+x/4+x/5+y => x=(10x+5x+4x)/20 + 50

                                       => x=19x/20 + 50

                                       =>x=1000;

let  x be a per month salary.

spend on household    x/2 (x is total salary).......(1)

spend on house rent  x/4 .........(2)

spend on travel x/5 .......(3)

finaly he pay deposit in bank is 50.........(4)

so addition of above 4 equation is equal to total salary of man(  ie x )

x  = (x/2+x/4+x/5+50)
x = (19x+1000)/20
x = 1000/-

so addition of above 3 equation i.e (1)(2)(3)is equal to 95%
So basically remaining salary is 5% from eq. 4 remaining amount i.e 50 Rs he deposit in bank.So 5%=50 Rs.

so now we know the value of 5% of his salary so multiply 50 by 20 to get 100% salary amount so answer is C- 1000 Rs.

A man deposits 50 amount in the bank
1/2= 1000 divided by 2 = 500
1/4=1000 divided by 4 =250
1/5=1000 divided by 5 = 200
500+250+200 = 950
Bank amount is 50 = 950+50= 1000
