Place holder column is the name of variable which can hold a calculated value like ( sum, avg..) or the value can be set by function or by a pl/sql block.use of place holder column for aggrigate function is not advised, for that use summary column.

hello,i am facing one problem. I have one main form. In that when i press one button, one window will be pop up with the details of Orders for the particular supplier which was selected in main form. I will check only few orders which i need and when ever i click submit, those checked records should populate in the detailed grid. Popup window is based on control block.One record it is populating. Try moving the pointer in the detailed block to NEXT_RECORD after you populate each record

First go to the first record of that block from which you want to populate data, check whether that is checked or not, if checked then assigned those values into that block where you want to poulate. Loop untill the last record is fetched. May be it can resolve your problem

If same trigger is fired at form block, item item gets executed first then block then form. To change the process, change the trigger property execution hierarchy to "after" from "overridden".RegardsImran Baig
