datawarehousing which table large dimension table or fact table? explan

----------------- Compare size about Dimension and Fact table ----------------------------- Fact table is large.

Why bcz---------------- Facta table maintains history of Data.

Hey!!!
Dimension table is smaller than Fact table.
Because dimension maintains only the entity characters, and also it is updated(Slowly changing dimension) with or without history but
Fact table maintains the the whole history of the entities+facts+metrics+history at more granular level. So obviously it is large.
