Hi..
I'm learning ascential data stage now.
I want to know how and where in data stage designer(transformer)
I should generate the surrogate key for emp no field.

Also I want to know the function for new line \n.

Hi Sangeeta,

What version of datastage you are using.

if it 7.5.1a then there is no sorragate key generator, so we need to use stage variable, so that it generate maually every time you insert new record.

try stage variable.
