some one tell's me that what is the difference between Recordset and Resultset ?

There is no difference technically. They are two different terms used to describe the same thing.
while VB 6.0 uses Recordset.
Java uses Resultset.
and VB.NET uses Dataset.

All refers to the collection of date retived from database.
