There is an Indian belief that everyone is a house of four rooms: a physical, a mental, an emotional and a spiritual room. Most of us tend to live in one room most of the time, but unless we go into every room every day, even if only to keep it aired, we are not complete.

Easy is to judge the mistakes of others. Difficult is to recognize our own mistakes.
It is easier to protect your feet with slippers than to cover the earth with carpet

The good, the bad, the false, and the true.

Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it! No matter if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and with your own common sense.

Pleasure is always derived from something outside you, whereas joy arises from within.

Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it.

Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations.
But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it.
