Thread: Satellite assembly

In .NET technology what does the concept satellite assembly means. I recently came across this question in a interview but could not figure out the answer. A idea on this concept would make me knowledgeable in this concept.

A satellite assembly is defined as an assembly with resources only and with no executable code. But I want to know the benefits or uses of satellite assembly. An insight on this would be useful for this discussion.
