    Hi prasoonsatpathy,

Some of the companies use excel as bug tracking tool. If you are using excel to track the bug then you will be having the following column headers.

    1. Defect id
    2. Summary
    3. Detected on date
    4. Detected by
    5. Assigned to
    6. Severity
    7. Status
    8. Module/components
    9. Detected in build # / version #
    10. Priority
    11. Reproducible
    12.subject
    13. Environment
    14. Release / version
    15. Attachments
    16. Description
    17. Defect origin
    18. Category / defect type
    19. Testing type
    20. Fixed / rejected reason and closed – rejected reason
    21. Closed in build # / version #
    22. Actual fix time (days)

If you have to attach the screen shot or to attach a file in excel follow these step:

Insert --> Object --> Create from File --> Browse a file.

You can keep the link to file or display it as a icon and if the icon is clicked the new file will be open. You can attach a word or excel or text or any picture files.

    Regards,
    Ganesan
